Opinion Paragraph about the Grammar Book I read
Lesson
1: My Favorite
Many would say that the first lesson is a
dull-simple one, but is the best lesson so far for me. Firstly, it shows the
difference between open-ended and closed-ended assignments; it tells how to
differentiate them, in which context you are likely to find them and for what
purpose. Moreover, it provides the foundation for analyze all writing assignments;
for example, the questions I should ask to myself in order to fully understand
my writing assignment and/or the specific language that writing assignments
have and the importance of knowing how to interpret it. On top of that, it
teaches how to identify the direction words and to transform the question that
have these hidden within; it explains each one of the direction words and what
are the specific actions expected from them, providing also useful exercises to
improve the ability to follow the direction words whether in a direct sentence
or in a question. In conclusion, the Lesson 1 is my favorite and from my point
of view, the most important Lesson to consider when starting to understand
writing assignments.
